Bro. Rev Alexander Reaper MA PM was installed as Master of Lodge Craigends in 1934. He was the minister of Linwood Parish Church from 1927 until 1935, when he moved to Kirriemuir, Angus. He retired in 1958 and died in 1966.
This portrait of Bro. John Kennedy PM hangs in the East of the Lodge. Its safe to say that Bro. John was one of the most respected Past Masters the Lodge has produced. A skilled draughtsman and linguist (he even knew Esperanto), he remained an active member of the Lodge until he died. He was well known for passing on his experience and encouraging the younger members of the Lodge. He is sadly missed by all who knew him.
Bro. Hugh Smith was Master of the Lodge during the years 1920 - 21. He was one of only three brethren in Lodge Craigends history to serve as Provincial Grand Senior Warden. He did this in 1936. The jewel which was presented to him (see below) by the brethren of the Lodge has recently been returned to he Lodge by his family. We are extremely grateful to them for this. Note his initials, HS, in gold on the ribbon.
